Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. Amy Smart was brought up in California, America. She began the modeling profession in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film that she played her first part in, was her debut performance. After a very difficult struggle, she landed a role in the 'Starship Troopers' series the film Starship Troopers. Amy had a difficult time making the transition from modeling to acting, as model actors aren't generally considered an actor of high quality. They are usually given smaller roles that aren't important. Amy did not give up. Her first big part came from The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. After a while Amy stepped to more prominent roles. Amy was in the 2005 romance film Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained the recognition she had been searching for for more than 10 years when her film called Just Friends came out. She then went on to work in some of the biggest movies, including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she played a recognizable character.
