Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her starring roles in the action-spy film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. Her early years were spent living in Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. The mother of her children was fond of watching movies and encouraged a love of films in the young girl as well. Paula became involved in many co-curricular activities in school, but she had an interest in drama. Paula loved playing the role of an actor with her classmates and took part in the school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School offered her numerous chances to perform in high school and she picked acting for a profession. As a student in a summer camp offered by the University of Southern California, she had a blast there. She was offered a contract for three months to create documentaries for PBS. Once she had completed the task with success, she began being an assistant in TV documentary production. Then, she switched to the production of documentaries. Her work was rewarding, but she still wanted to pursue a career as an actor. She began her journey into acting by playing Will Smith's co-star on romance comedy Hitch. In the years since she's appeared in numerous productions and films.
