Sheryl Underwood was born in the state of Arkansas and grew up in the state. She was a television host of the talk show on daytime The Talk. She was born and brought up within Little Rock. Sheryl lives in a family that is turbulent. She spent the majority of her childhood taking care of her older sister Frankie suffering from polio. While growing up, Sheryl experienced many issues with her mom. Sheryl states that in the past, her mother would stab her father due to him becoming too close to her. When she graduated from college Sheryl joined the military. Her passion for the military was comedy. In 1989, she was the first woman to reach the top of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. Her first TV career in 1992 being a regular performer on HBO's comedy show Def Comedy Jam. She also appeared in 2000 as host of the television show Oh Drama! Then in 2011, she started being as a co-host on The Talk as co-host. Additionally, she's been in fictional roles on shows including Bulworth Nikki, and Beauty Shop.
